I've purchased coffee while travelling in the dominican and mexico that has almost a chocolatey flavour - which of your coffees would be closest to that sort of taste?
Great question! We get a lot of coffee lovers that have been spoiled with great coffee while they travel, and then search high and low for something comparable when they get home. If you're looking for chocolate notes in your cup, I would suggest the Nicaraguan or Guatemalan.

Hi , I was just wondering...when buying green coffee...is there a special device or method of roasting? Could I use a regular coffee maker? Thanks! :)
Buying green coffee means that it has not been roasted. You need to roast the coffee before you can drink it! There are a few ways of roasting coffee from home: 1) Purchase a small home coffee roaster. There are many available, we have had the most success with the iRoast 2 2) Use a hot air popcorn popper. These are sometimes a little hard to find, but when you do they are dirt cheap! A lot of people still have them around the house too. You can roast about 4oz at a time, and will get you a nice medium dark roast

Where does one find an in home coffee roaster? How much does one cost?
You can spend as little or as much on a home roaster as you'd like! We still think the best roaster is the classic hot air popcorn popper, that can be found in most dusty cupboards, garage sales, and department stores.

I like strong fliter coffe and have bought fair trade for many decades. Only recently have I become more aware of how water intensive coffee is. As East Africa suffers from drought and Latin American countries don't, should I be buying Latin American. I'd really appreciate a nonsense response telling me exactly which strong (strength 5) I should be buying. Thanks
If you're looking for strength 5 coffees try our Premium Dark EcoBlend or our French Roast Colombia! Traditionally Latin American coffees are known for being stronger than East African. East African coffee has a lot to offer with many unique and desirable qualities, especially with earthy flavours.
